Tyre Fitment and Maintenance

For optimum performance, tyres must have the correct air pressure, tread depth, balance and the wheels of the vehicle must be properly aligned. Checking your tyres on a regular basis is an important step in protecting your safety also maintaining proper inflation pressure in your tyres.

Wheel Alignment

Incorrect alignment can result in rapid irregular tyre wear and can even affect the handling and safety of the vehicle.

Wheel alignment can be affected by driving against a kerb, hitting a pothole in the road or by excessive wear to steering or suspension components.

Wheel Balancing

Wheels that are not balanced or are out of balance generally produce a vibration that is uncomfortable to drive in and results in premature wearing of suspension and steering components, rotating parts and tyres.

Correctly balanced wheels help to eliminate vibration and avoid premature wear caused by an imbalance in the rotating wheel and tyre assembly.

Punctures Repairs

Punctures can generally be repaired if they occur on the central portion of the tyre, in this case the middle three-quarters of the tyre. If a puncture occurs outside this area, near to the tyre’s sidewall, it cannot generally be repaired.
